In 2016, the Chicago Cubs were on their way to breaking a 108 year championship drought. Inspired by a statement from an opposing player who said, “Wrigley Field wasn’t that loud," we wondered what it would sound like if Cubs fans got the opportunity to celebrate all their pent up anticipation. On behalf of team sponsor Mastercard, we created a decibel meter app and brought it to the World Series. We were on the ground, filming live in Chicago as the team won the championship. Cubs fans cheered so loudly that they broke the meter. Our film — edited, approved and posted on the fly — became Mastercard's most retweeted and most shared Facebook video ever within hours of going live.
